THE UNCHANGEABLE LOVE OF GOD
Numbers 16: 44-47
Even though the people hated Aaron, yet, Aaron loved the children of Israel. Aaron made haste--he ran--I must be about my Father's business, Christ said. (Romans 5: 6-8; 1 John 4: 10-11.) Notice the offering was made not in the tabernacle but in their midst. How does this typify Christ? "But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building (Hebrews 9: 11.)" Robert Hawker, said, "…we see one of the most interesting views of the Redeemer in his priestly office putting on the incense of his merits, and running into this world from the tabernacle of glory to do away sin by the sacrifice of himself." (Romans 8: 3-4.) Thank God for his unchangeable saving, love in Christ our High Priest.
