What Do You Need?
Leviticus 16
On the Day of Atonement all eyes were on the high priest in hopes that God would accept them through him and the offerings he made. Sinner that is what you need for God to do for you. Scripture does not speak of the sinner accepting God but of God accepting the sinner. If God accepts a sinner it is because in his Son he fulfilled all that he required so that he can accept us in a holy manner. God makes his regenerated children to behold all the work is finished so that he empties our hands to receive Christ as a free gift. You do not need to accept Jesus but you need to ask God to accept you in Christ Jesus. Wouldn't it be amazing to hear him speak to your heart and say that from before he founded the world you were accepted in Christ the Beloved!
