The Rock Followed Them
1 Corinthians 10: 4
Our Lord has promised to never leave or forsake those who trust him. This Life, this Water, is Eternal. It was God who had mercy on us in the first place. He promises to guide us by the springs of water (Is 49: 10.) The Lord said to the woman at the well, "Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4: 10-14.)
Are you thirsty? The well of human will is dry; the well of human merit is dry; the well of religious works is dry; the well of philosophy is dry. By nature, by birth, and by practice we are only "wells without water." May God give you a thirst to obey his command, "Come, take of the water of Life FREELY!" (Rev 22: 17.)
